Soundtrack
Drew plays bass in Triple Tongue. They play shows at the Motorhouse, which is an old garage at the back of the Junkyard. Henry writes all the songs. Here is a setlist of one of their shows, where Henry surprises Drew with a song about him.

FLYING SAUCER
Flying saucer
came to town
Long ago
now it's down
Now it's rock
with some trees
We like to walk
with Roy and Knees
We hang out there
with smokes and beer
enjoy the night
it's only right
All the kids
all the folks
enjoy the beer
enjoy the smokes
Who were they
you might say
They came from space
to this place
We don't mind
they arrived
and they were kind
Flying saucer
came to town
long ago
now it's down

RAVINE
The Ravine
is our scene
Dirt and twigs

NUDER PARK

NEW SUPERMARKET

New Supermarket
Got a car?
have to park it
Why did they
do it this way?
Lots of things
you'd never think
They even have
the kitchen sink
We have enough
right here in town
why'd they have to bring us down?
It's kind of scary
I'm kind of wary
I work there though
so I don't care-y
Cake and dairy!
They'll never come
to Sparkleton
Close to Beam
it's not our scene

MY FRIEND DREW
My friend Drew
this one’s for you
Shy as a mouse
never shot a grouse
My best friend
'til the end
Now let's hush
and watch him blush
Drew M Fank
your heart has sank
this is a prank
Drew M Fank
You didn't know
how this would go
You thought we were along
on another song
But I wrote this for you
cause I like to tease
Don't be blue
forgive me please
MAKE THE CIRCLE
Make the circle
round the room
You know how
make it soon
Make the circle
all join hands
Skip around
to the bands
Make the circle
it's so fun
We like it here
in Sparkleton
Make the circle
skip around
Make the circle
here in town
The old factory, Pennsylvania Pen and Pencil, is abbreviated by locals to PP&P or Pennapenand.
Eventually, I'll record the Triple Tongue songs using my voice for both instruments and vocals.
Corner of room sketch, in progress. Pencil on paper
There are also pop music lyrics infused into Alexandra’s note to Drew upon his leaving, and in a few more places in the written parts (see “written parts”). These will be drawn and inked letters on paper.
Drew,
Now you've seen the Lake. Don't be afraid. There is no answer, okay? People look for answers.
I'm not sure if you'll get this before you go. You may already be gone. But I'll put it on your door just in case.
You've always been safe here. But now it's time, I can feel it. Now it's time, open your eyes. It wont be long... it’s okay to look outside and watch the sunrise. Sail away. Set your course for Niagara Falls, for Lake Erie. Because you've got to be free, free to face the life that's ahead of you, free to find a new illusion. And just try to carry on.
Fly away from here. Start a new chapter. Find what you're after. Leave your homeland, your life begins today. Why try to stay, if the feeling inside you says it's time you were gone?
Now is your future. And things that happened in the past only happened in your mind. Go just one minute at a time and you'll see: fear is in your head. In fact, the world you once feared gets what it has from you. After your trip, life will open up, you'll start doing things you want to do. And if it's bad, don't let it get you down, you can take it. And if it hurts, don't let them see you cry, you can take it. Actually, I think it's okay to let them see you cry. Cry if you need to, and face the crowd, smiling. Wear that crown in your own way. Every day is the right day.
Just take it all as it comes. But most of all: hold your head up, hold your head high. And if they stare, just let them burn their eyes on you moving. And if they shout, don't let them change a thing that you're doing. And they will shout. You know that, you went to high school in Beam. Eventually you'll get used to it. But it’s funny how you feel when you're finding out it's real.
You might find this hard to understand right now, but in your end is your beginning. You can't be twenty in Sparkleton.
You're looking at just a little time. Be true to your simple heart and put nothing else above it. And remember, Fank: The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive. Steer clear.
Ever,
A. Tropine
